Product Title Mini Wireless Keyboard Bluetooth Keyboard For Ipad P. Average rating: 4.7 out of 5 stars, based on 3 reviews 3 ratings Current Price $15.64 $ 15. 64 - $15.82 $ 15. KeyPad, is a virtual Bluetooth keyboard, mouse and media remote. Anything you type in KeyPad (on the Mac) goes directly to your connected device. Why use your thumbs when you can type. Don’t buy bluetooth keyboards when you can just use your Mac keyboard (and mouse) with all your devices. Keypad is free for one phone/tv/tablet. More precisely, iPhone models starting with the iPhone 3GS and later and all iPod touch models starting with the iPod touch 3rd Gen and later can support external Bluetooth keyboards. Although effectively any Bluetooth keyboard will work, including Apple's own Magic Keyboard (available from site sponsor Adorama and elsewhere), and this keyboard.
I reply to all emails and support request. If you are facing any issue, please reach out (tools@toolbunch.com). Help me make keypad better.
June 06 2020 – U.K. English support – I believe it is supported completely by KeyPad. Actually it is not KeyPad but the Phone’s keyboard layouts that need to be changed. Read more. I have heard that other keyboards like French are working correctly with the phone/apple tv. Do let me know if it is not.
You can connect to as many devices as you like. All your TVs, Phones, tablet… there is no limitation.
We recommend creating a hotkey for each of your devices, it can be setup in the Preferences screen. You can also launch KeyPad by selecting the device you want to connect to in the toolbar menu.
Most keys that you type on the computer will be sent to the connected device. There are keystrokes like Command – Tab which are defined for the Mac and will not go to the device. While it is technically possible to achieve that, the potential problems outweigh the benefit. For these cases, we have implemented Function – TAB (which does the same thing).
KeyPad supports Media Keys. But not all devices support those keys. While most of the keys work on the iPhone, they dont always work on other devices like TVs, Apple TV, etc. KeyPad does not have a way to detect what the device you have connected to. We provide a generic set of keys. Please try them out on your devices.
We find that there are some devices that don’t connect (like Play Station 4, or LG TV), and connect intermittently (2012 TVs, and Play Station 3). Do let us know if a device works or does not.
This can happen on Android Phones and is a feature of whatsapp. To enable enter key to send a message:
Yes, KeyPad 0.92 upwords supports multiple devices. This feature requires an in-app purchase.
The default hotkey is Command – Option P, and it works only for the first device you setup.
Usually this will happen if the KeyPad setup is incomplete. Note that it takes up to 15-20 seconds to complete setup. Setup is complete only when the KeyPad screen pops up at the last step of the connection.
This issue happens when the Mac has lost the bluetooth connection between the Mac and the connected Phone/TV/Tablet. The best way to get around this is to reconnect the device to KeyPad. We don’t have a clear fix on this issue yet. Would you like to help us debug? Send us email at tools@toolbunch.com.
With 0.90 upwards you can. Thank you to our user who asked for this feature. It was the reason we added Media keyboard support.
KeyPad does not work with iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV) on MacOS Catalina (10.15.3) and High Sierra (10.13.6), this is because of a bug in MacOS. Read my blog post for more details. It continues to work with Android phones, TVs, and even Windows and MacOS desktops.
This bug has been fixed in MacOS 10.15.4, 10.15.5, and Mojave(10.14.6 Security Update 2020-003) This has not been fixed in High Sierra, completely breaking app support. Please help me push apple to fix this.
